Learning without limits

From Anuradhapura to Monaragala, we bring books, mentors, and hope to classrooms that need it most.

"Education is the bridge between a village child's dream and their future."
— K Jayatilake Foundation

Who We Are

Rooted in community, driven by education

Named in honour of a lifelong advocate for rural development, the K Jayatilake Foundation works alongside village leaders, teachers, and families to ensure no child is left behind because of geography or poverty.

Our Mission

To expand access to quality education in Sri Lanka's underserved rural areas through scholarships, infrastructure support, and community-led learning initiatives.

Our Vision

A Sri Lanka where every child in every village has the tools, teachers, and confidence to pursue their dreams — from primary school through higher education.

Our Values

Integrity, inclusivity, and local partnership. We listen to communities first, then build programs that reflect their needs — not our assumptions.

What We Do

Programs that reach the last mile

We design each initiative with rural realities in mind — limited transport, scarce resources, and extraordinary resilience.

Community Voices

Stories from the villages we serve

"Before the scholarship, I thought university was for children in Colombo. Now I am studying engineering — the first in my family."
Amaya Perera Scholarship recipient, Polonnaruwa
"The digital hub changed our school. Students who had never touched a computer are now helping their parents with online forms."
Mr. Rajith Fernando Principal, Moneragala District
"My daughter walks three kilometres to school every day. The foundation's resource kit means she never misses a lesson for lack of books."
Sureshani Wijesinghe Parent, Anuradhapura
